Common questions
How does RenewPad work?
RenewPad is a subscription tracker where you manually add each subscription with its renewal date, amount, billing cycle, and optional cancellation deadline. The dashboard then sorts all upcoming charges by date, calculates monthly and yearly totals, and sends reminders before renewals hit.
Do I need to link my bank account?
No. RenewPad uses manual entry only and never connects to banks, payment processors, or financial accounts. You type in each subscription yourself, so no financial credentials are shared or stored.
What subscriptions can I track with RenewPad?
RenewPad tracks any recurring charge across 9 built-in categories: software, hosting, media, finance, insurance, telecom, health, education, and a general "other" category. Common uses include SaaS tools, streaming services, domain registrations, insurance premiums, and gym memberships.
How do RenewPad reminders work?
RenewPad offers reminders at four intervals: 30 days, 14 days, 7 days, and 1 day before a renewal or cancellation deadline. Free accounts can set one reminder per subscription. Pro accounts can set up to four reminders per subscription, covering multiple lead times.
What billing cycles does RenewPad support?
RenewPad supports three billing cycles: monthly, quarterly, and yearly. For cost summaries and the 12-month forecast, quarterly and yearly subscriptions are automatically converted to their monthly equivalent so all totals are comparable.
What is the difference between Free and Pro?
Free accounts track up to 10 active subscriptions, include one reminder per subscription, show monthly and yearly cost totals, and can export data as CSV. Pro ($3/mo) removes the subscription limit, allows up to four reminders each, adds a 12-month cost forecast, enables ICS calendar exports, and removes ads.
Can I export my subscription data?
RenewPad supports two export formats. CSV export is available to all users and includes name, amount, currency, cycle, renewal date, cancellation date, category, and notes. ICS calendar export is a Pro feature that creates calendar events for each renewal and cancellation deadline.
Can I use RenewPad without signing in?
Yes. RenewPad stores subscription data locally in the browser, so you can add and manage subscriptions without creating an account. Signing in adds cross-device sync so the same data appears on every device where you log in.
What does the 12-month forecast show?
The 12-month forecast is a Pro feature that projects total subscription costs for each of the next 12 calendar months. It converts all billing cycles to monthly equivalents and shows a month-by-month breakdown so you can see annual spending patterns.
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
Email [email protected] with your order number and a description of the issue.
